Your Place in Space

Grand Canyon University invites high school and community college students across the country to a free, virtual technology competition: Your Place in Space. Participants will collaborate within a software development and IT infrastructure lifecycle in a series of storyboards related an outer space adventure.

Students will solve problems throughout the storyboards, all created by GCU Technology faculty, associated with topics like:

  • Computer Science
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Analytics
  • Database Infrastructure
  • Information Technology
  • Project Management
  • Software Engineering
  • Software Development

Following the completion of this event week, participants will have a clearer picture on where their technology interests fit into GCU’s technology-based degrees, as well as career opportunities in the field. Complete milestones, change storylines and accumulate as many points as possible throughout the event to win! The top five students* will each receive a certificate signed by the Dean.
