Discover Skilled Trade Opportunities at GCU

Grand Canyon University’s programs and pathways are designed to prepare students to become electricians, CNC machinists, construction generalists or manufacturing specialists while also providing traditional college experiences and benefits.

This virtual session is your opportunity to explore Grand Canyon University’s skilled trade programs and find out how you can start building your future in the technical professions.

Whether you’re looking to upskill, change career paths or take the first step toward hands-on training, our team will walk you through program details and the enrollment process — all from the comfort of your home.

  • Undergraduate Certificate for Electricians: If you’re an aspiring electrician who seeks the necessary knowledge and skills relevant to the electrical field, this certificate program might be for you. It offers a focused curriculum that combines theoretical foundations with practical training.
  • Undergraduate Certificate for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinists: This program is designed to prepare you with hands-on skills in mechanics, math, metal properties and precision manufacturing. Build your understanding of machine setup, operation and maintenance, potentially leading to careers creating high-tech components for industries like aerospace, defense, medical devices and semiconductors.
  • Manufacturing Specialist Pathway: Train for high-tech semiconductor roles with GCU and TSMC’s one-semester industry funded pathway, where you can learn to run automated systems, solve real-time issues and keep production moving on the clean room floor and in the command center.
  • General Construction Pathway: Sponsored by McCarthy, this two-semester industry-funded pathway is designed to prepare you for entry into skilled trade apprenticeships, such as civil, electrical and mechanical and plumbing, with academic support, hands-on experience and exposure to industry professionals.

GCU invites you for an information session from our Phoenix campus to learn more about these trade programs and pathway opportunities.
