Tomás and the Library Lady tells the real-life tale of Tomás Rivera, a Mexican American writer raised in a migrant worker family during the 1940s. The librarian introduces Tomás to the magic of books and storytelling, which takes him on countless adventures and helps him fall in love with learning. Tomás is the story of possibility and promise of learning in pursuit of the American dream.
