Dance students are invited to a week-long overnight1 camp at Grand Canyon University! Come develop your skills through instruction with fellow dancers. All classes are taught by distinguished dance faculty and guests, assisted by teacher candidates from GCU College of Arts and Media’s Dance Department.
Male and female dancers ages 14 to 24 years are invited to the Summer Dance Intensive. Students must have two consecutive years of dance study. Students will take placement classes on the first day of camp to determine their technical levels (beginning-intermediate and intermediate-advanced).
Family and friends are invited to a dance performance presented by Summer Dance Intensive students on Friday, July 14 in Ethington Theatre. General admission is free. Details regarding the location and time will be provided in an email closer to the start of the camp.
Our studios are located on the first floor of Saguaro Hall, Building 46. The two adjacent studios feature sprung floors and storage for students’ belongings.
For camp attendees staying in the residence hall, passpoints will be issued for hall entry, but rooms will not be equipped with locks. You can store any valuables you are concerned about in your supervisor’s room, which is equipped with a lock.
Registration Deadline: July 1
Here are the conditions:
Please download the permission slip and submit it with your RSVP. Payment will be requested after the form is filled out.
