Synopsis

Grand Canyon University’s Ethington Theatre brings the backstory of Peter Pan to life in “Peter and the Starcatcher”—a prequel to the classic story “Peter Pan,” written by novelist and playwright J.M. Barrie. “Peter and the Starcatcher” is based on Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling children’s book, which was adapted into a fantastical theatrical production. Follow the wild adventures on high seas and the mysterious island of Mollusk that turn an orphaned boy into the legendary Peter Pan. This play is on-stage spectacle not to be missed!

Peter Pan: How It All Began

“Peter and the Starcatcher” welcomes you aboard the Neverland ship for a magical voyage full of evil pirates and greedy thieves overtaken by the power of love and friendship. The voyage begins when Peter and his friends take off from Victorian England to a faraway island. At sea, the group encounters Molly, the daughter of Starcatcher Lord Astor, who’s on a quest to save the world from evil. Together, they battle villains and storms at sea forming an unbreakable bond, while protecting a trunk filled with otherworldly treasures known as “starstuff.” Between unexpected misfortunes and heroic deeds, this thrilling journey tells the story of how Peter Pan and the Lost Boys all came to be, making the island named Neverland, their home.

“Peter and the Starcatcher” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials also supplied by MTI, 423 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019 | Tel.: (212) 541-4684 Fax: (212) 397-4684 www.MTIShows.com
